Nissan Micra Cup - CANARIAS 06

ART (Aythami Race Team) in the Canary Islands are proud to be the preparation team for the Nissan Micra Cup, a single make rally series, which has seen fantastic success since it was first announced.

Forty eight pre-registrations were received by the organisers, 20 of which were selected to compete in the 2006 season. The selection was focused on drivers without much experience, in an attempt to gain the most level playing field as possible in the six rallies scheduled. Another important aim has been mechanical equality, for which the main elements have been sealed (gearbox, engine, ECU.)

The preparation of the Nissan Micra 160SR is similar to Group N, with improvements in a shorter final drive ratio, limited slip diff, exhaust, LEDA suspension, clutch, brake pads, caliper cooling, brake bias, roll cage, shorter steering ratio, competition wheels and safety elements.

All the cars have been developed and assembled by one company (Aythami Race Team), hence each car is completely identical.

The most important characteristic of this vehicle is its general balance, underlined by an exceptional grip, handling and traction. Its power (112 CV @ 6.000 rpm) is enough for young and unexperienced drivers, making it the perfect combination for rookies.
